With Summer fast approaching maybe it's time for a few Alpine ticklist ideas? The problem is that "5 Best Routes" really isn't enough. Maybe 50 best routes would be better?

The excellent Alpine hut system provides comfortable accommodation in the mountains during the touring season, but outside of the guardianed period there is usually a part of the hut left open for intrepid tourers...
It's not always powder. Sadly let down by a favourite descent which after 10 nice turns at the top became a challenging survival skiing exercise....

There seems to be a little "Indian Summer" for the next week, but so far the Autumn has been unsettled with lots of snow up high. Huts and lifts are closed for the season so the mountains are quiet - but it takes some extra effort to get up ...
