"I had high hopes and expectations, and I wasn’t disappointed, in fact:- exceeded. Warm up day was a pleasure. The Guide was superb all the way through. He reversed the set itinerary which worked really well, as it made the 2 hard days slightly early in the trip. The day length/ distance/ height gain vs ground conditions was perfect for us, yes challenging but not a beasting, so plenty of time to enjoy the amazing surroundings. The huts got progressively higher and better (that’s subjective as they are all excellent), I think the progressive height gain of the huts and mountain summits helped with acclimatisation. The house share for the week is excellent and seems to generate instant bonding, possible helped by familiarity of returning clients and also the excellent set up and food. "It may seem trivial to talk of the quality of the food when talking about Alpine mountaineering, but this is a good sign of how well I have been looked after at Frost Guiding. The evening meals are very high quality, while the afternoon tea and cake are very welcome when returning from the peaks. The guides I have climbed with over the last decade have been equally well chosen – a special mention to Gav – and I have felt safe (but never complacent) in their hands. Thanks to Frost Guiding I’ve been able to climb 4000ers by their more interesting routes, from the Ober Gabelhorn, Matterhorn to Weisshorn."
