The Arolla and Evolene lift areas offer access to a wide variety of backcountry terrain suitable for all levels of off piste skier from beginner to advanced. Locally-based British Mountain Guide, Graham Frost has been climbing and skiing here for over ten years and will guide you to the best off piste runs and ski tours in the area.
The huge variety of routes to choose from mean you will never run out of new lines to ski, whether its the steep glacial couloirs of Arolla as accessed from the Vignettes hut (requires ascent using skins), gentle flowing valleys leading down to the Kurhaus hotel (great lunch spot) as accessed from the Arolla lift, tree skiing from the Evolene chair lift (a good murky weather option on powder days) or a lift assisted ascent of the Pic d'Artsinol - there's something for everyone.
