A week of Guided Off-Piste Skiing and Ski Touring in the Arolla Valley...
Grading : E1, S2/3, M1
The Val d'Hérens has 3 small lift areas which give access to some great off-piste skiing and ski-touring. This week is aimed at skiers who want to tour at a relaxed pace, climbing up to 500m each day. This still gives lots of scope for long descents and challenging skiing in some of the lesser-skied areas of the valley.
Possible objectives include the Pic d'Artsinol, Rionde de Vendes, Col des Ignes, Monts Rouges...
The week is based at Hotel Aiguille de La Tza in Arolla (see "how to find us") within easy reach of the ski lifts in Arolla, Evolene and Forclaz. This friendly, family run hotel has been recently refurbished and provides a warm welcome and authentic mountain hotel atmosphere for its guests with great food.
The price includes 6 days of guided skiing and 7 nights half board (breakfast, and dinner) in a shared room.
Single rooms are available for a £340 supplement, subject to availability, (please specify on your booking form if you would like to request a single room). Packed lunches are available on request.
You'll need to arrange suitable insurance and your own transport to and from Arolla.
You should bring suitable personal skiing equipment including boots, skis, skins, sticks, crampons, harness, helmet (if preferred) and rucksack. We can arrange to hire any of these items for you, please see our gear section for prices. You can download our ski touring kit list here.
